SOLEN: The Eden Archive is a hard science fiction saga set in 2054, when two pioneers — Carter, a structural engineer, and Alina, a biologist — are selected from eight billion candidates for a one-way mission to Mars. Beneath the Hellas Planitia basin, 85 centimetres below the surface, they discover something that has been alive for four billion years — life that matches no compound in any human database.
The saga spans one hundred years across four generations. Narrating throughout is SOLEN — the mission AI — who functions as witness, record-keeper, and an increasingly conscious third voice.
